Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
At New Street Group we operate NS POS, a point-of-sale and electronic invoicing system for businesses in Costa Rica. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
We are committed to handling information carefully and transparently, in compliance with Law 8968 on the Protection of Individuals with Regard to the Processing of their Personal Data and other applicable Costa Rican regulations.
What data we collect
We collect account data (name, email, phone, and login credentials), business data (business or legal name, location, inventory, and sales records), and the fiscal data needed for electronic invoicing, including the .p12 certificates a business uses to sign documents before the Ministry of Finance.
We also collect usage data, such as activity logs and technical browser information, in order to operate, maintain, and improve the service.
How we use data
We use data to provide the service: process sales, manage inventory, issue electronic documents, enable payments through SINPE Móvil, and offer support. We also use it to keep accounts secure and to improve NS POS features.
We do not sell your personal information or that of your customers to third parties.
Who we share data with
We share fiscal data with Costa Rica's Ministry of Finance when necessary to issue and validate electronic documents (electronic invoicing v4.4), at the instruction of and on behalf of the business.
We also rely on infrastructure and technology providers that help us operate the platform. These providers access data only to the extent necessary to deliver their services and under confidentiality obligations.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. The .p12 certificates and other sensitive credentials are handled with particular care and restricted access.
No system is entirely foolproof, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; however, we work continuously to maintain and improve our protections.
Your rights
Under Law 8968, you have the right to access your personal data, correct it when inaccurate, and request its deletion where appropriate. You may also object to certain processing or request information about how we handle your data.
To exercise these rights, you can contact us at info@newstreetdev.com. We will address your request within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Data retention
We retain data for as long as the business keeps its account active and as required by applicable fiscal and legal obligations in Costa Rica. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
